At Buckley Lawyers, our property settlement lawyers on the Central Coast will strongly represent your interests and ensure the best possible outcome in all matters.
Whenever possible, we recommend drafting and negotiating Consent Orders to finalise your property settlement. A Consent Order is a legally binding agreement between you and your former partner that allows you to divide finances and property after a separation without attending court hearings. Once all parties have agreed to the Orders, they can be filed in the Family Court and made into Court Orders.
If both parties cannot agree on Consent Orders – or the court does not consider your Orders fair and equitable – you may need to settle property matters through court proceedings. In either case, you can be sure that Buckley Lawyers will fight for you to receive all your entitlements.

A fair and equitable property settlement requires you to consider a range of factors and then divide your property based on those factors.
As well as determining the value of all assets being considered, you must determine the value of the financial and non-financial contributions that each party made during the relationship. It’s also important to consider other practical factors, including the future needs of each party.
Our property settlement lawyers know how to draft Consent Orders that will represent your interests and be approved by the Family Court.
Consent Orders can be used to ensure you receive all your entitlements, including your fair share of property, cash, vehicles, jewellery, shares, business interests, superannuation, family trusts, and more.
At Buckley Lawyers, our property settlement lawyers serve the Central Coast and all surrounding areas.
